Hey there! I'm Rob! I've made up my home on Lake Superior. It wasn't always this way. I gave my friend who's mom had a credit card $15 and started my journey on AOL Legends because I thought I was cool that I had AOL. That was in... gosh, 2000. I started getting myself established on Chesapeake and was around just long enough to get my first Valorite War Hammer literally weeks before AoS dropped... talk about a slap in the face!
Over the years I've weaved my way through free servers and OSI servers - having kept two active accounts since the beginning. Many of my greatest memories and best stories come from this game and the friendships that I've made, lost, and now so many years later stuggle to remember.
My day to day in UO is pretty boring. I farm events, spawns, and other various bosses as other LS residents ask for help or offer keys. I have plenty of PvP chars on LS and ATL but usually just embarrass myself as I'm quite out of practice as much as riding a bike it may be.
I've always known that scripting existed and how powerful it actually is - I mean look at searchuo.com. I've benefited from my fair share of champ cams. I've played with easyuo and scripted countless skills to cap, though my automation has really primarily been from looping semicomplicated Razor macros. It wasn't until I was gifted Twinkle McNugget's PVM Dexer script that I realized what scripting could mean for the actual experience of the game. I had no interest in pot chuggers or scripts to make me better than the next person, but taking the monotony of pressing secondary skill 5,000 times during one champ spawn has been the single most rewarding gift of my UO career.
I have sorted through thousands of leather pieces looking for perfect base resists. I have manually looted thousands of EV's. I'm ready for a break. Call it laziness in the past that I just didn't want to take the time to find/setup scripts or call it whatever else you may like, but I'm now apologizing to myself and taking whatever steps I can to see if I can relieve just a bit of the tediousness in my life.
I understand how few and far between the posts and support for the scripts contained on this site may be, but I would be honored to be accepted into your community - even if it may be small and often quiet. Ultima Online is still very much alive, and being gifted the treasures on this fabled website will make it much more enjoyable for me.
