Killing Giant Turkeys' Strategy

After killing some Turkeys last night< I wanted to share with you some observations:

1. Don't use a Pet to kill it.  The Pet causes the Giant Turkey to teleport you to it, over and over again. They will use a Bleed Attack and teleport unreachable characters next to them (from 5-6 Screens away).  If you die while using a Pet or Summons on it, it keeps teleporting you to it, which virtually makes it impossible to Rez, until your Pet is dead.  They will most likely dispel any summons right away as well.

2. The Giant Turkeys have the highest resist to Fire and the lowest resists to Cold.

3. If you can find two turkeys nearby each other, then Provoking and then Discording one, then waiting a few minutes then discording the other is the best way to kill it.  I then sic my Cu (I am riding at the time), to kill the remaining Turkey when I lore it to see it is under 600 hps.

4. Invising yourself does confuse the Turkeys and causes them to stop attacking you.

The Giant Turkeys act, sound, and attack like Hiryus, so I am assuming that they are vulnerable to reptile and dragon slayer weapons and spellbooks.  They even have similar Samurai loot on their Corpses.

I personally enjoy the barding method, but ABC is probably the fastest.

There is just something about getting super hard critters to kill each other that appeals to me...

I also find barding the best method. I get 5 or 6 rounded up and it goes fairly quick. Probably got 9 or 10 maps yesterday in about an hour.

well, barding is definately the way to go now, since the barding difficulty is only 12!  :-X
If at first you don't succeed, try try again. Then give up. There is no use in making a fool of yourself.

My method to killing the last turkey is to make sure he's red lined first... Peace The Turk, Cast an Ev near by, then cast invis on myself.  by the time the ev starts attacking the turk, he's pulling in my invised body. doing me no harm until the ev is dispelled, you might get a little damage done.. heal up.. and repeat.

No joke.  I run two chars at the same time:  One to provoke/disco and another to run around like mad rounding them up and luring them to the gaggle of death.  I get two maps/frags per bird this way.
