Ok, finally narrowing down what would be best for each type of bow.

Heavy Crossbow - The Dismounter
50 Hit Lower Defense
15 Hit Chance Increase
Balanced
30 Swing Speed Increase (Then add Ash to get to 40 SSI)
16 Damage Increase

Composite Bow - The Running Shot, Armor Ignor-er(?)
40 Velocity
40 Hit Lightning
Balanced
25 Swing Speed / 35 with ash
17 Damage

Bow - The Paralyzer
50 Hit Mana Leech
40 Hit Lower Defense
Balanced
30 Swing Speed / 40 with ash
13 Damage Increase

Crossbow - KaThunk
50 Hit Lightning
50 Velocity
30 Swing Speed / 40 with ash
50 Damage Increase

I would consider taking the hit lightning off the composite bow and putting in hit lower d.  when hit spell goes off, you pause for a short moment making chasing down folks with running shots a little more difficult, unless hit lightning does not pause and only others do.  Adding hit lower d may be the way to go or some other mod. if you are wearing mace and shield.

I think the pause is only with fire based, ie Fireball and Magic Missile. That's why they break paralysis.

I stealthed around Yew gate, and almost every bow I saw there had Velocity+Lightning. Only one dismounter with Fireball and nothing at all with Magic Missile or Harm.

hehe- I just started making my suit for the guild shard and the process is killing me.  Going to look for some non imbued pieces too.  err...
good info on which spells cause a delay.  I was unsure if the lightning was inclueded but wanted to mention it as a possibility.

Lightning pauses you also.

I prefer single spell for Heavy's and Comps.

Double spell for the regular bow (veloc/lightning)and crossbow (veloc/fireball).

To be honest I don't use my crossbow as much because it doesn't belong in a group pvp field anyway. You want to dismount (heavy), equip last to a para (regular bow) to stick the guy you dismounted, mortal (regular bow). That's how you properly gift wrap that guy for your guildie Twinkle McNugget to finish him.

I'll have that 4/6 setup also, and x-fer to the home shard in a week, now that they finally put this patch through.

No worries, Got my thief done up on Pac so I'll be around more. I have to get my mage doing those SA champs to get ingredients so I can get some Killa Weps made up.

Where do you get them? I was in that new Fel dungeon in the SA lands... I can see that a Necro/Mage would work good down there...

Do the ingredients drop in back or do they need to be looted?

You have to loot the ingrediants just like with any other monster you kill and loot scales or hides.

Nope you just have to loot the corpse. Sorry i explained that wrong but I am good at doing that.
