I have discovered I have a reputation on 16  

How is that one working?

Will it help if I send cool winks to the females of the board?   or maybe sweet kisses to the male members?   Just kidding, just wondering what it is, and what influence it has on my account.

Uhh ohh there also is "reputation power" - what is the difference between those, because that one is 0 ?

Also I had to fix your reputation.  Older accounts may have zero reputation after the system was installed. Everyone starts life with 1 reputation point.

When you read something you like or find very helpful, you click the little read heart on their post and type a little message.  That in turn shows them a tiny bit of appreciation for being active and helping the community out.  It is encouraging to get comments here and there.  You cannot give yourself rep power by complimenting yourself.  If you post a lot and share stuff, you are bound to get thank yous.
