Best Swords weapon for Fighting Ophid Army?

I've been using a meh reptile slaying radiant for those times when I'm so desperately bored that I actually participate in this event.  I need something faster, though.

If you could imbue anything (Swordsmanship) to fight the Ophid army, what would you craft?

Radiant is 2.75, so at 180 stam you swing it as fast as it will go.  If you have a 30 SSI radiant that is very obtainable.  I should think a 100% Fire Ophid slayer Radiant would rip big holes in them.

1 - Ophidian Slayer Radiant Scimitar
2 - Hit Mana Leech
3 - Depends on the build
4 - SSI 30
5 - Damage Increase

3a - Hit Stamina Leech
3b - Hit Life Leech
3c - Hit Lower Defense (if not on glasses)

I don't know which Ophidians your fighting, you might enhance it with Bronze for additional fire damage, or with Verite for the poison damage.

I don't think you want poison to fight Ophids.  Three types have the potential for 100% poison resist and for every type fire is their weakest resist.  100% fire is the way to go on them and I would definitely stick with radiant.

I think the rewards for fighting bane are better though...

For the record, I'm fighting the Bane/Ophidian Ophidians.  So, the higher end ones definitely have poison immunity.

For the record I've settled on this radiant:

Bronze enhanced
Ophidian Slayer
44% Mana Leech
44% Stam leech
25% SSI
45% DI

Hot knife / Butter.

I'm also using Momentum strike more than whirlwind...
