Hi there.
I played OSI on Napa Valley, back when I was in secondary school, as Madrarua III. That was in Cyprus, so I had a ping of lots and lots and lots. I wasn't very good, but I blamed the ping.
Dipped into playing on freeshards during college and grad school, spurred on by quite ridiculous nostalgia. Why do I get enjoyment out of the classic sound of a UO door slamming? Probably the same reason I bred over a hundred natural white plants by hand, or memorized thousands of Chinese characters with zero intention of speaking standard Chinese to a human being: because I'm nerdy that way.
Now I'm employed, in a steady relationship, and balder than I was, and a bunch of mates from years ago are going back to a freeshard. I got a call to arms to do so too. Apparently they need someone who really enjoys making patterns out of boxes of candelabras. Division of labour, right there.
