Why hello there

I'm finally returning to UO -- as we all know the icy talons of the game never let go of a true lover of it. I played on Great Lakes from 98-2002, back when I was in middle and high school. Now I'm 27. It's strange how fond memories of a silly game can keep creeping into your mind, making you reminisce about how much fun you once had.
Well, I have a different focus playing now. Being "grown up" and all, with a career as a police officer and a fiance whom I am marrying in two months, I can't justify playing like I used to. My father recently got me interested in a microcontroller system called an Arduino. I have no experience in programming or electronics, but I figured I would give it a try. Funny how things coincide, and I find a programming system of scripts for Ultima Online - the game I'm starting to play!
Understanding the flow of programming is my goal, and being able to write my own scripts is my end goal. I feel like this will not only give me a benefit in Ultima Online, but in utilizing the Arduino to its full potential. Playing a game AND learning. That's how I'll justify it to my fiance

I'm ready to follow the tutorials and use the hell out of the search button. I'm sure you'll be hearing more from me when I get a little further in my learning.
